Sunshine

Ten years ago, I met this guy…

 

 

 

 

 

…he had a big head, no neck, and he was wet and wrinkly all over, sort of like a prune. A tuft of fuzz on his head, he was basically bald, yet, somehow, I couldn’t help myself…I fell in love, even though–let’s be honest–he reminded me a bit of ET.

At first this guy played hard to get, giving me the cold-shoulder, not even looking my way when I entered the room….

 

 

 

 

…but then, hello, he looked at me, and my heart skipped a beat.

 

 

 

 

It took time, but I got used to his spirituality, his constant praying all the time. And his fussing…and his burping…and even the way he passed gas in public.

 

 

 

 

Eventually, we learned how to talk to each other…laugh together…

 

 

 

 

 

…I got used to his wet sloppy kisses.

 

 

 

 

Because when push came to shove…we were meant for each other. Two hearts, two minds…one love.
